This article describes the relation between Project Dates and Volume Planning grid on Prject and Oart Level. Details about managing SOP and EOP Year planning are described below.

Volume planning grid (cells available) is based on defined dates in Project workflow tab „Project Dates“

  • First Parts (Start of volume Planning SOVP)

  • Start of Production (SOP)

  • End of Production (EOP)

  • EOP Spare Parts (End of volume planning EOVP)

What does that mean?

  • User can enter volumes from SOVP until EOVP

  • SOVP can be equal or earlier, but not later than SOP

  • EOVP can be equal or later, but cannot be earlier than EOP

  • User can enter volume on annual Base or monthly base,

  • If SOP and/or EOP year are less than 12 months, only motnhly volume planning is possible (click on annual volume switches to monthly volume grid)

Depending of available price validity

  • Project/Part turnover calculation considers all volumes between SOVP and EOVP, not only from SOP to EOP

Create new Project with market link

  • Default: SOP and EOP are taken over from selected model cards (First SOP and last EOP if more than one model is selected)

  • Default: Volumes from S&P are transferred automatically from S&P weighted into Plan / Actual / Forecast Volume on Projects (and Part Level) between SOP and EOP (independent from SOVP and EOVP)

  • Volumes are also taken into “Contracted”

  • Default: As long as no manual volume update is done by user, always S&P volumes are taken over when Market data have been updated

Create new Project without market link

  • Based on user defined SOPV, SOP, EOP and EOVP dates, Volume can be managed on annual base for all years with full 12 months

  • If SOP / EOP not in January / December only monthly planning is enabled

Volume updates in Project or Part Volume tab

  • Deactivation of S&P volume usage once manual volume is entered (whole timerange!)

  • SOP in January - annual volume update possible (distributed by 12 months)

  • SOP not in January - annual volume update disabled, volumes have to be managed in monthly view

  • EOP not in December - annual volume update disabled, volumes have to be managed in monthly view

  • EOP in December - annual volume update possible (distributed by 12 months)
